Families,
Starting with Topic 2 in Math and moving forward, students will be given a Topic Readiness Test to see how much they already know prior to us starting each topic. Based on how they perform on that pre-test, some students will be skipping some lessons throughout each topic if they don't need it, while others will continue on with the curriculum where necessary. For those students who don't need certain lessons, they will be working on enrichment materials that are aligned with what the topic is, or will be working on 5th grade math topics that are an extension of what we are learning in class. Your child may or may not be bringing work home that looks different than what they have been bringing previously. The groups they will be working in with me will continue to be fluid and likely change each topic based on the pre-test. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you, Mr. Krause

Scientists in Room #209 got to test out their Engineering and Technology skills they have been learning in Science to code their own mini-robot. Thanks to the Jackson School Maker Space, students are able to interact with technology and the Lego WeDo kits to build and code their own mini-robots. The students had so much fun and can't wait for their next building/coding session. Families,
