On Monday, October 22nd, 4th graders experienced their final fire prevention session as students at Jackson. It was a culminating activity where they put to use everything they had learned up to this point regarding fire safety and prevention. Students learned how to detect a fire, what to do in order to escape safely, and how to call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency. The students learned how important it is to know your home address in order to give that information to 9-1-1 operators to get help as fast as they can.
