4th and 5th Grade Scientists learned today about insulators and conductors and how they relate to the flow of electricity. In preparation for our next Science unit, the students used the Makey Makey kits available through our Maker Space to test whether different objects in the room (including themselves) would conduct electricity and make a piano play through their Chromebooks. After experimenting, the scientists concluded that metal was a conductor, and wood was an insulator. They were so excited they were already asking when we could do it again after we cleaned up!
